We have first-class after-school and enrichment programs with distinctive curriculum. Following are brief curriculum descriptions:

Mentoring

Mentoring

Student mentoring. The goal of the mentoring program is to promote prosocial behavior and efficacy in youth. The vendor will provide services to each student in the program for one year. The vendor will recruit and train the mentor, as well at match them with the mentee. The vendor will operate in a spirit of collaboration with the campus to carry out the mentoring activities with fidelity.

Mentoring Services for Students

Utilize an evidence-based or evidence-informed mentor program to be implemented with a fidelity in service delivery.

NLE agrees to utilize an evidence-based or evidence-informed mentor program to be implemented with a fidelity in service delivery.

Provide a site director at each school campus to manage and facilitate the mentoring program.

Conduct a needs assessment to determine level and types of services to be provided to the student.

Assign the student to a trained mentor that will meet with the student for at least 2 hours bi-weekly, on the student’s campus.

Provide training to the mentor in basic knowledge and skills needed to build an effective mentoring relationship, and on Houston ISD’s reporting requirements for suspected abuse and neglect and on responding to suicidal/homicidal ideation.

Provide enrichment activities, preferably bi-weekly, at least monthly, such as tutorials, workshops, culture and arts activities, group sessions, career exportation, community service opportunities, etc. This may also include off campus excursions.

Collect and provide data for services provided to each student participating in the program.

This can also include curriculum, materials, training, services, and development provided by vendor.

Provide skilled, qualified, and experienced personnel (including Texas public school background check).
