Enrichment Services for Students

Since 2016, Elite Stemm, has been focused on creating and delivering turnkey, organized, educational after-school programs in the greater Houston area. Our mission is to take after-school to the next level with exceptional standards, all-inclusive service, and excellent staff to student ratios, while offering a large variety of supplemental activities to meet the needs of any child. Northlake is a one stop “after-school” shop that is convenient for both schools and parents. After-Care, Enrichment, and One on One service all within one organization! Northlake has a complete set of redundant virtual lesson delivery options for continuity and optional alternative learning scenarios should the district be interested in being more inclusive than just the direct on-campus learners the RFP is aimed at. This can be helpful if there are further school building shutdowns due to the pandemic, or other unforeseen difficulties or personal choice for learners to learn remotely.

Yes, NLE is prepared to tender its services during the school day, before school, after school, and out-of-school time.

Elite Stemm (NLE) provides hands-on curriculum and enjoyable activities in a safe, constructive environment led by experienced and qualified staff. Our team at the corporate office and on-site consists of Project Managers and Site-Coordinators to fulfill the interests of your students utilizing a variety of educational, creative, and recreational resources. NLE has a comprehensive approach to classroom management. First, we always have a minimum of 2 staff for 1 to 10 ratio with an assistant, if a child is acting out, we first work with that child separate from the group to discover what is causing their upset. Many times, just listening helps resolve the child's concerns. Sometimes, we discover they will do better switching classes or working with one on one with our assistants. Rarely we do need to involve the parents, but we can call meetings with the parents if need be. In extreme cases, we opt to remove the child for one week from the program with the parental/school consent. All our staff are highly trained qualified experienced teachers. Since dismissal in HISD takes place campus-wide between 3:15 and 3:20 pm, we can just adjust our start times to accommodate that difference. If student dismissal is at 3:20, NLE check-in at 3:25 – 3:30. Transition to designated space 3:20 - 3:25 pm. Enrichment classes are conducted at 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Dismissal time is at 4:30 pm. NLE staff will be fully responsible to safely release the kids to their parents in person. The student roster will be used to ensure that the kids are released to their registered or designated parents by checking against the government-issued IDs.

Northlake minimum criteria for staff selection is straight forward - minimum college degree, teaching certification, minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in ES/MS/HS schools and finally no past criminal history.

Service delivery models might change throughout the course of treatment depending on the needs of the student. For example, a model might start off by providing direct one-on-one services to teach a skill, but then switch to a consultative/ collaborative role to help a student generalize his or her skills within the classroom environment.

Upon request and on a weekly basis, NLE will provide a daily roster of student attendance against enrollment to the school principal and school administrators. At the beginning of the class each day, NLE will inform the front desk the number of missing students for the day. Also, the parents will be informed accordingly. All our Site-Coordinators are equipped with google phones that will be shared with the parents and the school for emergencies. All our on-site staff are trained in handling autistic/disability students, trained in CPR and First-Aid. Our Project Managers and Directors coordinate with all the Site-Coordinators on daily basis to ensure transparent communications for student attendance, emergencies, field trips as needed, all on-site staff are required to complete an emergency report for any incidents immediately. In the event of site emergency, Site-Coordinators are allowed to call 911.

All the supplies required for a successful mentoring program are supplied by NLE without exceptions.

Most of the supplies for enrichment will be stored on-site. The Site-Coordinator will be fully responsible for arranging the supplies. However, iKids U will provide mobile-storage units that will deliver and remove those supplies from the school facilities without safety concerns. There will be enough staff or staff to perform those tasks.

Before school starts, our Program Director will coordinate and decide with school principals the number of After School enrichment classes to be offered based on the parents' choices. HISD district curriculum and education strategy for the year will be aligned to meet the district's educational objectives and TEKS.

When we first setup the programs with the principals at the beginning of the school, we ask the principals what showcase that the school prefers. For example, Art Show, Drama theater show and robotics competition show or to participate an existing school sponsored showcase events upon invitation. Our aim is to ensure our students and families are delighted and proud at the end of each session.
